  1. Establishment of the engineering center

    Russian Railways (RZD) and the Sinara group of companies incorporated the Railway Transport Engineering Center.

  5. ECRT trials at the VNIIZHT Experimental Ring

    Endurance trials began on ECRT-developed permanent-way engineered for an accumulated gross tonnage of 2.5 billion tonnes, on the VNIIZHT Experimental Ring.

  6. High-speed train basic design completed

    High-speed train basic design completed

    Core technical solutions were developed for Russia’s first domestic high-speed electric train.

  7. ECRT trials on the RZD network

    Field trials began on ECRT-developed permanent-way engineered for an accumulated gross tonnage of 2.5 billion tonnes — on a section of the Krasnoyarsk Railway, an RZD branch.

    Detail design completed and high-speed train production started

    Engineering documentation for Russia’s first domestic high-speed electric train was completed; carbody fabrication started at the Ural Locomotives plant.
